Recently, 24-year-old Nigerian model Tamaar Awobotu clinched the much coveted trophy as winner of the Top Model Worldwide held in London.

The strictly fashion and model competition is aimed at seeking out the best new modelling talents and is open to contestants from all over the world.

The 5’10 tall South African based model had gone ahead of over 4000 girls who had applied from different countries to win the prize. The event took place at the Hilton Metropole, London on Saturday, March 17, 2012 amidst fun and high expectations.

Organizers say Tamaar will feature in the London Fashion Week which holds in September 2012. She also walks away with a limited edition Star Now shoulder bag and professional runway training, photo shoot and career guidance.

With this, Tamaar becomes the first black woman to win the six year old competition.
