My email and Twitter were set ablaze last evening after Nicki Minaj's performance on 'American Idol'.  I must say, her performance had a very polarizing effect.  The comments ranged from, 'Dreadful', to 'Prolific'.  So, I had to see for myself.  One commenter said the performance was, 'the worst' she had ever seen from rap's reigning 'Queen'.  So after further review, I will give what I thought about the performance.  But you look at it first and tell me what YOU think.

Hmmm, I think it was pretty good.  I mean, what did you expect?  IT is a POP song.  It stirred the crowd, there was loads of energy and the artist stayed true to what she is branding these days-- POP!  Was it a stellar HIP-Hop moment, not so much.  But then again it's not a HIP HOP song.  Minaj is showing that she does not have to live inside of the conventional box where she has to deliver the traditional run of the mill rap song.  So for it's intended audience and purpose, I think she hit the mark.
