Lifeguards are five bodies from wreckage of a cruise ship Costa Concordia. Therefore, the death toll is now at the opening of the tragedy 11 people.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Tuesday, January 17, 2012, the bodies are found in four men and one woman, all ages. Rescuers found them after a bomb destroyed the hull to the west coast of Italy.
"We had four of explosives on the ship's side to open the way to salvation, so they can more easily get in," said Marine spokesman Alessandro Busonero Italy. In the meantime, the entrance barriers are wide enough for rescuers to go deeper into the hull.
Previously, authorities said there were 16 victims still unidentified. But the officer of the Coastguard, said Marco Brusco, still there were 25 passengers and four crew members still missing.
"At least 10 Germans and two Americans among the 29 victims lost," said Bruco.
Yet he was hopeful about the possibility of survivors. "We still have a glimmer of hope for survivors. They did not find," he added.
Rescuers race against time now for two reasons. They lack not only the victims in the ruins of the Costa Concordia find, but also face the possibility of environmental pollution by spilling fuel.
